Congratulations to the Under 13’s and Under 14’s Riverina Rhinos who are playing in the Regional Youth League Grand Final this weekend at the Newly developed Arlington Oval in Dulwich Hill Sydney.
Previously a traditional turf playing surface, with a beautiful boutique amphitheater stand, Arlington Oval has just received a full redevelopment and artificial surface. As a result this will be most of the boys first time on a synthetic pitch. Both teams have been invited to another recently developed field for a Friday Training session at Lambert Park Leichhardt.
After finishing first in their respective age groups the Under 13’s and 14’s teams have been outstanding all season and carry the flag for the newly developed club in the Football NSW Regional League.
“It’s great to see our youth perform well, and even better to have them beat metro teams with more experience in the league” says Matt Curran, President GDAFA. “It’s about time the metro teams took a look at the local talent we develop in the Riverina and Griffith in particular.”
We wish both teams, coaches, managers and all the parents a safe trip to Sydney for the third week in a row, and commend them for their hard work and dedication to the sport.
The Under 13’s Play against Western Mariners FC at 11:30 and the 14’s against Sutherland Association at 1:00pm, both games on Saturday.
